The Lancaster Bed and Breakfast is an historic inn centrally located in Lancaster, PA, between it's energized downtown and the heart of Pennsylvania Amish Country. The house first served as the home to members of the Armstrong Flooring family. Armstrong’s World Headquarters still makes its home in Lancaster, PA. Built in 1912 in the Dutch Colonial style popular at the time, the house made a handsome residence for the families who occupied the home until 1987 when it became a bed and breakfast.
Brad and Keith are the fifth innkeepers at The Lancaster. Their attention is bringing many updates to the inn’s décor, and they both are
devoted to restoring the property to its stately beauty. When you stay at The Lancaster, you should feel it is your home. Our spacious living room provides you with a warm fireplace in the winter, as well as satellite television. Enjoy the living room as a place to visit with each other, meet other guests, enjoy a game, read a book (if you don't have one, we have a selection to interest all tastes), and have a warm cup of coffee or tea and a sweet treat! Our den offers a quiet area to read a book, catch up with news from home on our guest computer, and enjoy a second fireplace.
The cottage across the garden, built in 1992, has two spacious second floor bedrooms, the Saffron and the Fennel. Guests staying in the cottage can also enjoy all the amenities of the main inn.
In the spring, summer, and fall enjoy our porch, goldfish pond, and gardens that are sure to bring relaxation to all. You may want to sit by the pond or on the porch and catch up on things back home with your laptop. For the convenience of both leisure and business travelers, we have wireless Internet access.
