Best Nature Spots in Lancaster PA

This is a short list of the Best Nature Spots in Lancaster PA. Longwood Gardens is one of our favorite local Nature outings. We also have the only Wolf Sanctuary in the Mid-Atlantic, not to be missed. Kayak the Susquehanna, hike/run along the nearby peaceful Conestoga River Greenway trail, or meander through Lancaster’s Central Park.

Lancaster County Park

The Lancaster County Park is a great place to visit. Walk, run, cross-country ski or simply enjoy the nature and beauty of this vast park. Home to Rockford Plantation, Sugar Maple grove and numerous outdoor activities and hiking trails. Check out all that is LCP.

Longwood Gardens

The former grounds and home of the DuPont’s this American treasure should not be missed. Year round Gardens and greenhouses with a most amazing array of beauty.

Wolf Sanctuary 2024

This amazing location is one of the only Wolf sanctuaries and is non-profit. This is a must for all visitors to Lancaster County. There are several tour options so please visit their website. The Sanctuary 2024 Full Moon tours will be magical. BOOK EARLY these events fill up in advance... remember Full Moons are weather permitting.
